Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, achieving just one win at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has secured 21 victories at twenty-one different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his capacity to play at the elite level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to approach the net and perform aggressively, supported by an improved serving game.
He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the final five points to go ahead.
The pair traded break points in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his initial tour championship, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before the Russian broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the title with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
